Over the years, I've promoted and earned from many programs and systems.
Some are still here, some bit the dust...
Some were easier money makers than others (some were MUCH easier).

You and I both hear it all the time -> I've been scammed!
Countless sales pages exploit this phrase and go to great lengths to tell you why THEIR opportunity is a legitimate one and why all others but theirs are the scum of the earth full of lies and hype.
I've been a money-making member of many programs that others have called scams. Hmmm...
If the program were truly a scam, how can there be so many members raking the bucks in with said scam?
If I am making money by promoting the program as instructed, how could it possibly be labeled a scam when in fact, it's actually working for many?
If the opportunity were really a scam, the only ones getting paid would be those at the top.
I've been through the newbie trenches and think I understand what the problem is. You see, I haven't always been a member of the money-making club... I have floundered and tried to take short cuts along the way just like most everyone who's turned to the internet with visions of dollar bills dancing in their heads.
Now that I'm sitting on the *job income has been replaced* side and having had many conversations with those who are struggling, I can see a very distinct reason why some people feel their program(s) failed them.
In a two words ... False Expectations.
Here's how those expectations are created:
Sales pages are written to SELL. Sales pages are created with one intent in mind - to get YOU to fork over your money. That's it. Many times, a professional sales copy righter has been hired to methodically draw you in and control your thoughts and emotions so that you'll predictably make an impulse purchase.
The terms simple, easy and others used similarly to them are not necessarily untruthful or hype, BUT are relative to the person presenting the material and his or her experiences... NOT you and your experiences.
"Complete Turnkey System" and "Automatic Marketing System" refer to the way in which a website sells itself to those prospects who are driven to it, as well as the marketing training and materials (like banners and other ad forms) that make the site easier to sell.
Regardless of how well a program or product sells itself, you still MUST drive an audience to it in order to make money.
Because of the misunderstood methods, terms and phrases like those above, new members and/or affiliates have a distorted perception of the amount of education and promoting is required to make the kind of income that will replace their job.
And therefore...
they bump into another sales page,
another simple and automatic marketing system
promising an easy ride to the holy income grail, and -
you guessed it....
fork over their money for the dream
over and over again.
Here's how to STOP THE INSANITY and finally start growing your income online!
When you adopt and then exhibit these new patterns of thought and behavior, you'll become a member of the most exclusive club online - the 5%-8% who actually MAKE IT!
Realize how Internet Sales Pages work ... and don't allow them to sucker you in ever again.
Rather than buying *the dream* they're selling and overextending yourself, make decisions rationally based on your own drive and passion, your monetary goals, the program or product's compensation plan, its inhouse training, and the amount of time and/or money you have to budget for promoting.
Only join an opportunity if you intend to succeed. Never dabble in or TRY a program again. People who only try ... FAIL every time.
Be prepared to WORK. If you are making money online, you are running a BUSINESS and need to treat it as such. Even if you put only 2 hours a day toward your online business activities, discipline yourself to do so consistently.
Expect to learn how to drive large numbers of prospects to your sales pages.
Spend the time to get educated and then APPLY what you learn in the form of ACTION (or be prepared to pay others to do so ... a combination of both is strongly recommended).
FOCUS your time and energy on your favorite program. Don't join more opportunities than you have the time and money to promote. Scattered forces create scattered results (I know, I've done it!).
At the same time, don't be afraid to move onto superior products, systems or compensation plans if you find them (much different than quitting!). But beware of *the grass is always greener on the other side* syndrome... you take YOU and your habits - good and bad - with you wherever you go.
Take responsibility for your own actions (or lack thereof).
Those who succeed at making job-replacing incomes online are PERSISTENT, SELF MOTIVATED, SELF DRIVEN and demonstrate a where there's a will, there's a way attitude.
They don't quit when the going gets rough, they look for and therefore FIND SOLUTIONS. They have no time to whine, complain, and blame their sponsors or programs for their own failures ... rather they put their time and energy into SUCCEEDING.
On the other side of the coin, those who are destined to succeed ALSO know when they've gotten in over their head. They view their losses as learning experiences and move on to a product, service or opportunity that is more in line with who they are right now, keeping their self esteem and dreams intact. They understand that even though they may have to start smaller, any money making venture can be used as a stepping stone to a larger and more stable income.
All these qualities and actions can be learned and cultivated to become of a part of WHO YOU ARE naturally.

We all have both strong and weak points. What are YOURS? What kind of thoughts and actions help YOU persevere online? What keeps you from quitting? What is it you do that always seems to work for you? What brings you down, and how do you get back up again?
Think about it, find your weak points, then make a conscious effort to improve and strengthen them every day with NEW ACTIONS. You will start to experience much different results pretty quickly!
In my conversations with
those who are struggling online, I am really being shown just
how much new marketers need educated FIRST and foremost on their
EXPECTATIONS, before even
getting into training them how to attract traffic to their
webpages.
I've noticed some disturbing trends...
Some people are
spending hours surfing and clicking in traffic exchanges and
doing nothing else to promote their sites.
Some people are only
using a handful or less of ad posting sites.
Some people are
sitting around waiting for the free hits the program they
joined promised them (which may be coming in very slow since
the program has many members to fulfill that promise to).
Some people are
posting a few ads here and there just a couple times a week
with NO consistency.
And all 4 of these
groups are expecting MAJOR results in the form of new members
and profits, which of course never
comes.
At this point, we have very disappointed and disillusioned
marketers who now may do one of the following:
Some quit and hop to
a different program (and spending more money) thinking
they'll get better results there;
Some quit trying to
make money on the internet altogether, giving up their
dreams in the process;
Sadly, only a small
percentage take responsibility for finding new ways to
promote their site and then actually put what they learn
into daily action, one new marketing technique at a time.
If you want
to make money on the internet,
you must first become VERY CLEAR about some very important
FACTS...
1. When promoting
anything online, you ARE a business owner and that takes WORK.
That means you should
be treating your activities as a serious business, one that
you spend time WORKING ON every day, just like business
owners do in the physical world. That includes promoting
plus answering your potential customers' emails/questions or
returning phone calls in a timely manner.
2. To make sales (or bring
in new members), your site must be promoted
persistently
and consistently.
Regardless of the
marketing strategies used, sustained daily effort is the
biggest KEY to your success.
There's no free ride - promoting takes time or money ... or
a combination of both. If you don't have the money to buy
advertising, you'll have to put in the time posting free
ads.
3. Realize that promoting
creates a pipeline effect and therefore is a numbers game.
Out of every 5,000
targeted* webpage views, you
may only get 100 new prospects that opt in to your program's
autoresponder series for more info (number varies dependent
on offer and ad).
And out of those 100 that opt in, you may get only 1-5 sales
or new members (number varies dependent on offer).
REALITY CHECK:
Using
the above example (for illustration only), that means you might
need 5,000 targeted* webpage views to make 1-5 sales.
*Targeted traffic comes from advertising mediums that
use only the ad itself as the incentive for a prospect's
clicking.
No credit or any other type of "payment" is used as an
incentive for the prospect to click the link, rather the
prospect sees the ad and the ad itself creates the interest
for the prospect to click through to the page for more
information.
If you are not using targeted traffic mediums, expect the
webpage view number to have to be even higher to create the
same amount of sales.
(Pop up or under traffic, expired domain traffic, traffic
exchanges and credit based safelists or text ad exchanges
are NOT targeted traffic mediums.)
4. You need to employ
several marketing strategies to achieve success, not just one.
Learning and applying
(or paying for) one marketing strategy consistently is a
GREAT start and will probably start making a difference in
your finances in a gradual way.
For complete financial freedom, employ (or pay for) at least
five or more marketing strategies (one at a time). Then if
one starts becoming less effective, you still have the
others running successfully while you tweak the struggling
one or learn a brand new tactic to replace it.
5. Internet marketing IS
easy, but ONLY if...
You keep your focus
on your favorite program and refuse to be enticed into
others until you've become successful with your current one;
You keep your focus
on learning and consistently applying ONE marketing strategy
at a time, moving on to a new one only when the first one is
running smoothly for you.
You stay organized,
pasting all login links, passwords, referral links, ads,
headlines, banner links, etc. etc. into text files that you
save in easy to reach folders on your desktop.
So, NOW you know the scoop.
And now that your expectations are adjusted to fit reality,
you're finally primed properly for a successful work life on the
internet.
